New York Veterinary Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine provides telemedicine consultation and in-home Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Laser Therapy services to dogs, cats and rabbits.

Our mission is to provide individualized care to your pet in the comfort of their own home.

Although we don't provide traditional Western Medicine, our treatment modalities are complementary to the care provided by your veterinarian.

Kristen Miller, DVM, CVA CVMMP

Dr. Miller has over 10 years experience as a veterinarian and has been practicing Chinese Medicine for over 7 years. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture, veterinary medical manual manipulation (chiropractic) and is a reiki master. Dr. Miller formulates individualized treatment protocols and recommendations tailored to the unique needs of your pet. 

A note from Dr. Miller:

After seeing first hand how Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine helped my own senior dog Murphy years ago, I set out to become certified so my patients could benefit from the amazing world of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. 

I am dedicated to improving and extending the quality of life of your pet as if they were my own. I have found that the most comfortable setting is for them to be in their own home so that is why I will come to you!

  • I cannot recommend Dr. Miller enough! We travel almost 2 hours round trip to see her. My cat was experiencing chronic GI issues for half a year with no end in sight. After months of vet visits, tests, medication, and RX food trials, an internist recommended surgery for an intestinal biopsy. We were concerned about moving forward with an invasive procedure only to hear “maybe it’s something else..”, so we decided to go the holistic route and try acupuncture first. Well, I’m glad I did because my cat has not had a single episode since starting acupuncture and the herbal meds, we’ve only had 3 sessions so far, and that can’t be coincidence. Dr. Miller is amazing with her technique and her approach towards treatment (eastern or otherwise) is 100% in the best interest of her patients.

  • Truly amazing. Our new vet had recommended Dr Kristen's services, after seeing that our elderly kitty had pretty severe arthritis in her hind legs. We were skeptical at first, since we've never really even tried acupuncture for ourselves, but wanted to give a fair try for our cat and we're so pleased with the results so far.   • Dr. Kristen has been a life saver! She has been regularly treating my 10 year old, Shichon, Dollie for 4 months now. Her knowledge and skills in traditional acupuncture, laser, herbal medicines and beyond, have dramatically helped Dollies weak aging legs. Prior to treatments with Dr. Kristen, Dollie started limping/showing leg weakness everyday in normal, casual walking around our home. Her vet of course then prescibded NSAIDS, based on her diagnosis of normal 10 year old dog arthritis, but, I didn't want to treat her little 10 pound body with them everyday.   • Dr. Miller’s acupuncture services have been life altering for our 8 year old, 50lb beagle mix. After two CCL surgeries in two years our dog Parker was still showing signs of pain in his right hind leg. Unfortunately the surgeries seemed to make his pain worse. Right before we found Dr. Miller and veterinary acupuncture, he was not using his affected leg at all, had severe muscle loss, and was in constant visible distress from his pain.   • Dr. Kristen Miller is a gifted and caring vet and vet acupuncturist. She treated our pup Luna who was battling Lymphoma and also knee issues. After her bi-weekly treatments with Dr. Kristen, Luna was happier and healthier. The treatments helped to maintain her general health.   • I can’t even put into words how much Dr. Miller helped my girl Penny. I tell everyone that she is the reason that my girl was comfortable and enjoying her retirement home.
